FBI Arrest Hackers
The FBI has arrested 20 people from an internet crime gang that used the Zeus Trojan to steal around $3 million from bank accounts in the United States. The perpetrators are mostly Russians and Moldovans.
The American arrests followed on from 19 arrests in the UK this week after police foiled the people responsible for breaking through IT security with the Zeus Trojan and emptying bank accounts.
The cyber gang was based in Eastern Europe. The gang would send the Zeus Trojan to businesses via email where it would send back recorded keystrokes to the hackers.
